X. GDR Art Exhibition On the occasion of the GDR's Xth Art Exhibition, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic issues four multi-color special postage stamps. Special cancellation from 22 September to 21 November 1987 1, - Mark value: bowl, 1986, stoneware, height: 28 cm, width: 50 cm, from Gerd Lucke, geb. 30. 6. 1943 in Baschkow, freelance active in Weissenfels This beautiful bowl (stoneware) was untwisted by Gerd Lucke, then deformed and fired in a coal furnace at 1300 degrees. A decidedly unique piece, she is perfectly handcrafted, thinly turned and of a facet-like modern-looking, freely deformed surface design. A copper-green spatula gives it a noble, festive look. A representational piece - is conceivable as a design accent for an interior (social use).
