With the issue of this stamp the 850th anniversary of the foundation year of the abbey is to be celebrated. Since the founding of the foundation on July 25, 1144, the abbey has been the seat of the Benedictines, who today devote themselves to pastoral work. In the summer months, cultural events are also the focus of the activities of the abbey. The main dome of the collegiate church designed by Paul Troger (1698-1762) in 1733 was the template for the brand motif. It shows Troger's "Most beautiful representation of Mary" as a symbol of the persecuted church. After its restoration, this masterpiece shone in 1994 in new splendor.
