Koloman Moser is one of the most versatile artists of the turn of the century. His motto was to bring art into every area of society. Fortunately, he was also commissioned with the design of stamps. Moser made his first designs for the brands of Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1906, quickly followed by the order to design a series for the 60th anniversary of the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph. The series shows the rulers of the House of Habsburg from Karl Vi, the Schönbrunn Palace and the Hofburg and numerous illustrations of the then reigning Emperor Franz Joseph. The showpiece of the series is the 10 crown stamp with the portraits of the emperor, it was the first brand in 3 color printing! The series pleased and was released in a modified form for the 80th birthday of the monarch. Also beautiful are Moser's Mercury stamps from 1908. The last issued stamps of Koloman Moser were the charity stamps 1914 and 15.
