Dresden Transport Museum The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic publishes five multicolored postage stamps with illustrations from the Dresden Transport Museum. Special cancellation from September 13 to November 12, 1977 Transport Museum Dresden 10-pfennig value: oldest electric tramcar, Dresden 1896 The oldest existing railcar was built in 1896 for the Dresden tram company as car no. 154 with yellow paint by the company Carl Stoll in Dresden , In 1906 this car was taken over by the Municipal Tram. In 1911 the reconstruction took place. The platforms were closed to the parapet, installed a second engine and provided with a new red paint. The car received in this version, the No. 761 and was used on the then line 4 (circular track). After reconstruction in 1951, this car was only used on special occasions.
