The Schärdinger everyday costume is sewn of cotton or linen fabric, but has a very special style and was designed in the context of costume renewal in Upper Austria only a few years ago as a separate summer costume for the district Schärding. The checked-patterned top has a round neckline and is closed at the front with hooks. Above the clasp, a bib is fixed in an oblique thread layer, which is piped in the same color as the neck and armholes. The sides of the back are also cut diagonally. The skirt in the same pattern is hand-pulled and folded under the apron, which is color-coordinated with the dress. For the summer dress, a white blouse made of fine cotton is worn, she has puff or sliding sleeves and is usually collarless; Also a kimono blouse fits. It is noteworthy that each community in the district Schärding has its own local dress. The communities of Schärding and Neuhaus am Inn and the communities Wernstein and Neuburg am Inn also have a common local dress across borders, including this summer costume, which represents the district Schärding and was designed by the women of the so-called "Gold Hood community Lower Innviertel". The local costumes of this district have their own folk book published, which presents not only the clothes themselves, but also the matching accessories - such as the "handstiezel", knitted or crocheted gloves, which are worn to the festive gold hooded dress.
