With the Philatelica'19, the Bulle Philatelists Association will be organizing a stamp day for the second time in a row after 2015. In addition to stage II and III exhibitions, an international competition will also be organised as part of the event. As the list under "Club" on the website philatelica.ch impressively shows, the Bulle Philatelists Association is extremely active. Encouraged by the success of Timbr@phil'15, the organisation of a new event is getting underway with vigour. And it's a success: Stamp Day will take place from 28 November to 1 December in the "Espace Gruyère" under the patronage of the Association of Swiss Philatelic Associations (VSPhV). Numerous exhibitors from all over Europe are expected to take part in the monothematic competition. The special stamp, created by the experienced Vaud designer Dominique Rossier, shows a typical scene of the alpine pass called "La Rindya" in the local Patois after the moment when the alpine dairymen have to return the cattle to the owner ("rendre"). Bulle itself, with over 23,000 inhabitants, has an urban character, but is still regarded as the regional centre of dairy farming and livestock breeding. The small town with its castle and the Musée Gruérien also plays an important role for tourism in the Gruyère region.
