The fencing art is undoubtedly one of the oldest sports disciplines that are still practiced today. Already in antiquity, over the Middle Ages to the modern era can trace their history. In 1613, probably the oldest fencing club in the world was founded in Ghent. A short time later, in 1624, the Styrian state parliament created the still existing oldest fencing club in Austria, the Styrian Provincial Champions League. The task of this association was to train the aristocratic youth of Styria in the art of weaponry. In 1929, the Austrian fencing association was finally founded. This step resulted from the international effort to separate amateurs and professional athletes. Today, fencing is still a popular sport that fosters both physical and mental abilities. Prerequisites for a good fencer are quick reactivity, a secure hand, a pronounced sense of time and distance, high concentration and great stamina. The development and promotion of all these qualities is of great importance today for professional and private life. The brand image shows a phase of a fencing fight.
