The hammer throwing - today a very impressive sporting discipline - was once a male combat training. The hammer is an old device for the weapons and farrier as well as for the peasant population. He was still used until the Thirty Years War as a slash and throwing weapon. In the North Germanic gods legend, the thunder god Thor uses the hammer as a weapon and as a symbol of his power. The hammer was also considered a symbol of the law: by touching a hammer marriages were closed. The Weitwerfen with the "hoof hammer" or with a heavy stone was considered as an appeal in the granting of fiefs. As far as an applicant could throw the hammer, he was awarded the land use rights. Today, the hammer throw, originally a pronounced men discipline, already carried out with young people. The brand image shows a hammer thrower in the early stages of the powerful and rapid throwing motion that sends the hammer on its trajectory. Muscular and tense, the athlete is shown. The body mass that a launcher can use is very important for the achievable performance. The ball is wide enough to give it a long lever arm in the orbital motion and thus a greater force.
