The issue of special stamps with surcharges in favor of the German Sports Aid Foundation is intended to support the Foundation's social tasks and tasks in all areas of sport. Trimm-trot or jogging is a type of movement between running and walking. Trotting is a natural form of exercise that can be learned by anyone, effectively counteracting physical inactivity and strengthening one's health. A rule of thumb for the right dosage is "never trot to exhaustion." Suitable running terrain are forest and park paths, but also meadow paths or paved roads without vehicle traffic. As a precursor to endurance, trotting is an excellent and gentle form of training. It increases the endurance, ie the fatigue resistance of the organ systems and the musculature with longer lasting loads. Endurance is one of the most important basic elements of physical activity. Trotting and endurance are therefore part of the exercise programs in almost all sports. Even for the improvement of the ability to concentrate, as z. B. when playing chess or golf is necessary, good stamina plays a significant role. Trimm-Trotting and endurance racing therefore occupy a central position in popular and recreational sports, so that they are rightly seen as a good example of "sport for all".
