The stamp series »For Sports« is dedicated to four outstanding international sporting events in Germany in 1995. From 15 to 20 August, the regatta course at the Wedau in Duisburg is the scene of the 27th World Championships in canoe racing. Active from more than 50 national canoe federations compete for the world championship titles on three different routes (200m, 500m and 1,000m) in two different boat shapes (kayak and canadians).
