The stamp series »For Sports« is dedicated to four outstanding international sporting events in Germany in 1995. From the 4th to the 15th of May the VIII Amateur Boxing World Championships take place in Berlin. In the traditional Deutschlandhalle, where the boxing tournament of the Olympic Games was decided as early as 1936, more than 300 fighters from 183 associations of the International Amateur Boxing Association (AIBA) meet.
