In 1959, the church relief organizations »MISEREOR« of the Catholic Church and »Bread for the World« of the Protestant church were founded. Both agencies see themselves as advocates of the poor of the world. Together, they have been working on a church development work with their own style over the past 50 years. The dialogue with the long-term partners in the poor regions of this world is always led to "eye level". For example, "MISEREOR" and "Bread for the World", for example, in Africa, Asia and Latin America, promote better opportunities and living conditions. The central goal is help for self-help. Accordingly, the training of children and young people in poor regions plays a central role in the projects.
