On a summer morning a poor tailor once sat in his room by the window in a good mood and worked. Then a farmer's wife came down the street and shouted: "Good! The little tailor liked to hear this and so it called out of the window: "up here, dear lady, here she will loose her goods." The woman climbed up to the tailor with her heavy basket and unpacked the pots in front of him. He looked at the goods from all sides, held his nose to it and said: "the Mus seems good to me, but weigh me four loths, dear lady, even if it is a quarter pound, it does not matter to me." .. "" Well, the Mus will be blessed to me, "cried the tailor," and give me strength and strength, "took the bread out of the cupboard, cut a piece over the whole loaf, and stroked the musling over it. "That will not taste bitter," he said, "but first I will finish the jerkin, before I bite." So he laid the bread next to him and sewed on. Meanwhile, the smell rose from the sweet Mus up to the wall, where the flies were sitting in large numbers. When he wanted to eat the disc now, he saw that many flies had sat on it. "Who invited you?", The little tailor said and tried to chase away the uninvited guests who did not understand German. Angry, Master Twisted grabbed a cloth and struck all the flies dead. Counting, he was fascinated to find that he had caught seven of the plagues. He then decided to tell everyone in the city about his heroic deed. "What a city!" he continued, "the whole world should know!" and his heart shook with joy like a lamb's tail. So the little tailor made himself a belt on which it embroidered in large, golden letters: "Seven at a stroke!" Full of conviction that the workshop was too small for his bravery, the daring craftsman moved out into the world.
