The Old Cathedral is a church in the so-called "Town Hall District" of the Upper Austrian capital Linz. The cathedral, which was known as Ignatius Church until the construction of the Cathedral of the Virgin Mary (New Cathedral), was built from 1669 to 1678 according to the plans of the Italian architect Pietro Carlone.
