One of the major strategic targets in the Second World War was bridges, which were exposed to widespread destruction due to their importance in the transport and economic sectors. Reconstruction after the war progressed relatively quickly. The stamp shows a worker rebuilding a bend of the Laabenbach viaduct near Neulengbach, Lower Austria. The restoration of transport links was, among other things, a precondition for the rapid expansion of housing and industrial construction, to which brand motifs of this series are also dedicated. Of course, it was also the basis for improving the general supply of the population.
