The final value of the special stamp series is dedicated to the reconstruction of the Austrian Parliament building. Built in the spirit and forms of antiquity by Theophil von Hansen, the palace was also badly damaged during the war. Particularly bombing on 7 and 21 February 1945 hit the building hard. Also artillery action and the consequences of the immediate fighting in early April 1945 caused great damage. The stamp shows a part of the ramp and the temple-like porch, the portico and left wing, which is completed by a likewise visible corner building. As the hostel of the constitutional organs responsible for the legislative reconstruction of Austria after the war, the construction of the parliament building also had significant symbolic significance.
