A new postage stamp continuous series with representations from industry and technology replaces the postage stamp continuous series "Federal President Heinemann". The space laboratory (Spacelab) can be seen in action between the opened cargo hatches of the space transporter. In the middle you can see the actual laboratory that enters and leaves through the tunnel. Weightlessness prevails in the laboratory, but otherwise life conditions on Earth. The so-called pallets, recognizable in the lower part, are directly exposed to space and intended for experiments to observe the sky and the earth. The Space Laboratory is a collaborative program between the European Space Research Organization (ESRO) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). It is a manned reusable laboratory and remains firmly connected to the space shuttle during orbit. It is a pure working space, while the crew of up to 4 people have their economic and dormitories in orbit. The duration of the mission is 7 to 30 days. The space laboratory offers the possibility of many different payloads and experiments.
