In the immediate vicinity of the German-French border - near the Saarland of Reinheim - in 1954 a Celtic tomb dating from around 400 BC was uncovered for the first time, one of the most famous and beautiful find complexes in Central Europe. Under a mighty burial mound 23 m in diameter and 4.60 m high, a female person, a princess or princess, was buried in a wooden burial chamber. One of the showpieces of the trench ensemble is the 51.4 cm high gilded bronze can, which is a masterpiece of Celtic craftsmanship in design and engraved ornamentation. The tube pot was found together with the golden end fittings of two drinking horns and two shallow bronze basins in the eastern area of ​​the burial chamber, where food and drinks had apparently been set up for the Journey to the afterlife. The finds from the grave of the Celtic princess are exhibited in the Museum of Prehistoric and Protohistoric Saarland in Saarbrücken.
