The motif shows a shooter's disk, which was donated in 1835. It is dedicated to the integration of the city of Ohrdruf into the Express Carriage Express System on 2 October 1834 and shows a six-horse carriage in front of the "Gasthof zum Anker". The postal road from Gotha via Ohrdruf to Oberhof formed the common centerpiece of the express mail service of Hanover and Berlin. From Oberhof we continued in the direction of Würzburg or Nuremberg. The establishment of these lines was part of a traffic acceleration initiative. Due to better roads, shorter stops and the elimination of many customs controls, the travel time shortened enormously. In the scheduled carriages, therefore, many experts see the beginning of transport modernity.
