In 2009, a total of four stamps will be published on two issue days in the »Post« series. The four motifs on these brands recognize the universal services of Deutsche Post in Germany. The current editions have the topics »Transport« and »Delivery«. The two brands, which have already appeared on March 12, 2009, pay tribute to the "sender" and the "post office". Delivery: More than 70 million letters are delivered daily by the nearly 80,000 Deutsche Post mail order recipients. Another 8,500 post offices also take care of the delivery of parcels. Because despite highly engineered means of transport: For the last way a consignment to the receiver is still the man responsible. Deutsche Post employees work on delivering letters and parcels punctually and conscientiously six days a week, whatever the weather. It does not matter if the recipient lives in a big city or isolated - for example in the mountains.
