In 2009, a total of four stamps will be published on two issue days in the »Post« series. The four motifs on these brands recognize the universal services of Deutsche Post in Germany. The current editions have the topics »Transport« and »Delivery«. The two brands, which have already appeared on March 12, 2009, pay tribute to the "sender" and the "post office". Transport: Tens of thousands of employees of Deutsche Post and its subsidiary DHL work day in, day out on a common goal: to transport letters and parcels quickly and reliably. Around 95 percent of the letters reach their recipient just one day after they have been delivered. An innovative transport and distribution concept ensures this international top value. An integral part of the transport chain are aircraft that travel long distances at night. By truck, the shipments are transported between closer together targets.
