For 100 years comes in the small Spreewaldgemeinde Lehde from spring to autumn the post office by barge. On weekdays the tour is eight kilometers long, on which the deliverer currently drives 80 households, 20 summer apartments and three mostly full mailboxes of excursion restaurants. When traveling through the picturesque river and island system, the deliverer relies on her muscular strength with her watercraft. Because the boat is only moved with the "pack", the traditional push rod. In order to protect the species-rich flora and fauna, power-driven barges are prohibited in the Spreewald - and of course this also applies to the yellow-black aluminum barge of Deutsche Post. The Kahn is also Germany's smallest office of Postbank. It also handles larger transactions on pre-order. As long as there are people, there will be a desire for communication and letter writing. And so long will the post be the unifying element in the world - in North and South, East and West. This is recalled by the two current stamps.
