The current special postal stamp of the series »Post« shows a white camellia and the lettering »for you«. A letter bearing this mark signals the sender's desire to make his message a special message. In her native East Asia, camellia is considered a "flower that brings spring". The first camellias found their way to Europe in the middle of the 18th century. The noble plant spread quickly over the whole of Europe and was to be found in all aristocratic courts in the 19th century. Today, the oldest camellia north of the Alps in Pillnitz near Dresden: It is over 220 years old, almost nine meters high and measures eleven meters in diameter. Altogether there are over 200 species and about 30,000 camellia varieties.
