On March 1, 1971, the new Highway Code came into force. It has aligned our traffic rules with international rules. After on the published on 18 February 1971 first four values of the series traffic signs are shown on the other four values traffic situations. If a multi-lane vehicle remains in a place where it can not be recognized in time as a stationary obstacle, hazard warning light must be switched on immediately. Afterwards, at least one conspicuous warning sign should be placed in a clearly visible position at a sufficient distance. Mandatory securing devices, such as warning triangles, are to be used.
