The 20 km long and 14 km wide Kaisergebirge consists of two parallel, west-east trimming ridges. The southern train, the Wilde Kaiser, is a mountain that has become a dorado due to its structure and variety of challenges, especially for mountain climbers. The first touristic ascent of a summit in the Wilder Kaiser was probably on 17 August 1794. Since then, the climbing and tourist development in the Kaiser area has steadily gained in importance. A wide network of paths with heavily used asphalt roads cut through this habitat. With ordinance of the Tyrolean provincial government of April 29, 1963, the Kaisergebirge was declared a nature reserve. This should make it possible to preserve this natural paradise for the next generations in its uniqueness.
