Hans Staudacher was born on 14 January 1923 in St. Urban on Lake Ossiach as the child of a many-headed peasant railroader family. Influenced by his childhood in the environment of typical Carinthian landscape with lakes and mountains, the transparent to strong blue became his color, in which his poetic psychograms condense. Sensitive color chords point to his strong connection to the music. Staudacher has been living in Vienna since 1950; from 1952 to 1964 he spent longer periods of work in Paris. The artist, who has received numerous awards, can refer to an artistic work that has been created since 1950, with which he is established as an important representative in Austria's art history of the 20th century.
