Arik Brauer was born on 4 January 1929 in Vienna. The year 1938 also brought him persecution for racial reasons. The young Arik was stunned by the cruelty of anti-Semitism in his hometown. He was held in a transit camp for years, forced to forced labor and tormented. He survived and began a new life with the Liberation in 1945. He studied drawing and painting with Andersen and then with Gütersloh. From 1950 to 1958 he traveled all over the world. His impressions and experiences he processed to his typical style in music and painting. From 1962 he became known by international exhibitions to a broad public. Brauer has chosen the theme of "Dear Augustin" for this brand, the legendary figure in the history of Vienna.
