Leipzig Spring Fair 1970 At the Leipzig Spring Fair, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic issues two multicolored special postage stamps. On the special stamps for the Leipzig Spring Fair 1970, top-quality products from the nation's own industry were once again chosen as motifs. 15 pfennig value High voltage test transformer The economical transport of large amounts of energy requires a constant increase of the transmission voltage. The task of test transformers and equipment is to test the components required for transmission such as transformers, switches, isolators, etc. for electrical safety. Previously, the usual for such high voltages test systems in cascade caused considerable transport and installation costs. The VEB Transformatoren- und Röntgenwerk Dresden developed, designed and built the high-voltage test transformer for 1,200 kV / 3,600 kVA. The result shows: transformers of this size can go into production, the new development has passed its test. For the first time in the world, a winding for a rated voltage of 1,200 kV AC technical frequency was realized. For the first time an insulating fur for 1,200 kV rated voltage between winding and transformer structure could be made. The solution to the problem of taking out the voltage from the winding and controlling the rigidity of the oil paths was for a rated voltage of 1,200 kV. For the first time succeeded the solution of the constructive and. technological problems for the installation of a 10 m long self-supporting bushing for 1,200 kV rated voltage in a high-voltage transformer. Also new is the solution of the practically operable path profile of a test transformer with a rated voltage of 1,200 kV. A montage-free commissioning of high-voltage generators for 1,200 kV AC voltage or high-voltage systems for more than 2,000 kV AC is possible. Hydraulics and suspension allow a hitherto unknown mobility in high-voltage experiments. There is a high voltage generator with very high short-circuit power available. This high-voltage generator is capable of achieving one-phase three-phase high voltages with more than 2,000 kV of chained voltage. With this new development of the VEB transformer and X-ray plant Dresden the world state is determined and a large scientific-technical advance in this area is reached. The project was solved in socialist community work. The benefit comes from the high scientific and technical level and the strong demand of such products.
