Leipziger Spring Fair 1969 At the Leipzig Spring Fair 1969, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic issued two multicolored special postage stamps. Top products of the GDR On the special stamps for the Leipziger spring fair 1969 again top products from the national industry were selected as motives. The E 512 combines a product from the agricultural machinery industry, which is considered one of the world's top products in terms of performance and design. Several interchangeable pieces of equipment allow the machine to harvest the crop under various climatic conditions. It not only handles the combine of grain, but also other threshing fruits such as corn, canola, lupins, poppy and. a. m. For the Schwaddrusch additional equipment are used. The 4-cylinder diesel engine has an output of 105 hp and processes 15 - 20 t / h. The driving speed variator, the dry clutch, hydraulic single-wheel braking, a powerful gearbox and light steering through a hydraulic gearbox together create the good driving characteristics of the E 512. Thanks to its large-volume low-pressure tires, it works flawlessly even in difficult ground conditions and can be used up to a slope of 18 percent. The cutting unit is manufactured in the mowing widths 5.70 m and 4.20 m. On the special Postwertzeichen to 10 Pfennig the 5.70 m wide cutting mechanism is shown. Through a quick-stop coupling of the cutting unit, which so far only has this combine harvester, the driver can prevent the ingress of foreign bodies. The very large width of the threshing drum and concave ensure a good expression with extensive grain preservation. By double sieve cleaning, the grain is ready to eat immediately. The grain bunker content of about 2,300 l of grain is transported to the trolley in 1.5 minutes via the discharge screw, without the combine threshing having to be interrupted. The E 512 has a clear, comfortable driver's cab. The driver controls all parts of the machine from his stand. In unfavorable weather a cab can be put on. The shapely cladding of the machine parts also serves to protect the drive elements from dirt and straw. The VEB Kombinat Fortschritt in Neustadt (Sa.) produces the combine harvester. The machines are always delivered in a five-complex. Only then can these high-performance machines, which perform combine harvesting, straw harvesting, stubble fall and pulling the seed furrow in the complex, be used properly.
