Leipziger Herbstmesse 1970 At the Leipzig Autumn Fair in 1970, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic issues a multicolored postage stamp. Clocks from the German Democratic Republic The twice-yearly Leipzig Trade Fair, in spring and autumn, fascinates visitors from home and abroad again and again. You are impressed by the efficiency of the economy of the German Democratic Republic and the exhibited exhibits. This is reflected in the special postage stamp issued by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications at the fairs. Two stamps of the VEB Uhrenkombinat Ruhla - Glashütte mill - are shown on the postage stamp for this year's autumn fair. The philatelists will welcome DDR stamps with clock motifs in their collections. The clock producers of the GDR, for their part, are pleased that their efficiency is appreciated in this way. The men's caliber watch caliber 74 is an extra-flat special automatic watch, so it has an automatic lift. Developed by well-known designers and built by skilled workers, this watch received the highest quality classification of the German Democratic Republic, the quality mark "Q". She was also honored with a diploma and gold medal at the Leipzig Trade Fair. For the Spezialautomatic watch a very flat movement of only 4.4 mm height was developed. This results in a special feature that drive and elevator are next to each other. The necessary in normal hand-lifts transmission and storage of the force on the spring by pressing the crown is achieved here by the wearer of the clock through his daily arm movements. A very practical solution, which also contributes to a high degree of speed of the watch. Technical data: - Factory diameter 28 mm (12.5 ...) with massive bridges and clamps - Large balance, shock-protected - 26 function blocks - Clutch lift - Break-proof special tension spring - Center seconds - Pallet anchor escapement with polished steel anchor and steel anchor wheel - Self-compensating spiral. The other clock, which can be seen on the left side of the stamp, bears the factory name "Kleintaschennuhr" caliber 78. In recent years, following a fashion trend, this watch has found an ever-increasing customer base. Design and production are also in the hands of proven specialists. In contrast to the Spezimatic series, this is a hand-wound watch with 17 function blocks. The other technical data, except for the automatic part, correspond to the above values. The external design of both types of watches corresponds to the international level and the demands placed on such watches. Plaque housings have a gold plating of 20 μm. The floors are made of stainless steel. Dials and hands, used in a variety of variations, contribute to the versatility of the extensive collection. Under the designation caliber 75 and 79 the watches are also available with date indication.
