The Catholic chaplains of the Lübeck parish of the Heart of Jesus, Hermann Lange, Eduard Müller and Johannes Prassek, as well as the Protestant pastor of the Lutheran Church, Karl Friedrich Stellbrink, made public statements critical of the acts of injustice by the National Socialists. The four priests discussed ethical and political issues with young people, opening up unfamiliar horizons for them. In sermons and personal testimonies they protested against the inhuman ideology of the former rulers and got into the eyes of the Gestapo. For this, the pastor named Lübeck martyrs were arrested and sentenced to death. Her execution took place on November 10, 1943. Hermann Lange, Eduard Müller and Johannes Prassek were admitted on June 25, 2011 in Lübeck in a solemn Catholic service in the list of the blessed. Cardinal Walter Kasper, who gave the sermon in front of the Lübeck Cathedral, also thought of the Protestant pastor Karl Friedrich Stellbrink.
