Ten years after the successful first International Garden Show, the World's Fair of Flowers, the Vienna International Garden Show 1974 - the TIG 74 - opens. If the Danube tower was the centerpiece of the WIG 64, this time it was the spa center on the southern slope of Laaer Berg, around which the Olympiad of flowers developed. From 18th April to 14th October flower, fruit and vegetable shows were held in large tents. In the open air, too, the bow of what was offered was wide. It ranged from the gardens of the nations, the exhibits of the Austrian provincial capitals, to the nursery show and the flower and rose comparison shows. An apothecary garden, which served as a horticultural museum after the WIG, a development road from the seed to the finished digitalis drug and a wine educational trail, guaranteed that the science at the WIG was not neglected. These facilities were supplemented by an amusement park with a camping street and international "Essstraße". After the end of the exhibition, the site was opened to the Viennese population. The brand image shows flowers.
