IFA - commercial vehicles of the GDR With the illustrations of IFA commercial vehicles from the GDR, the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic issues six multi-colored special postage stamps. Special cancellation from 5 October to 4 December 1982 IFA - Commercial Vehicles 5-Pfennig value: B 1000-Krankenfahrzeug The B 1000-Krankenfahrzeug is produced in the VEB Barkas-Werke Karl-Marx-Stadt. With front handlebar design, front wheel drive and 33.8 kW (46 hp) engine performance, it is excellently suited as a traffic accident standby car and also for use as an urgent medical aid. The Barkas B 1000 is produced since 1961. Since then, it has been constantly evolving according to the international progressive trends and has in its six basic versions u. a. As a minibus, flatbed, multipurpose and van, it is of great importance for transportation in industry, agriculture, trade, transport and various services.
