To start with, designing this series, Adolf Tuma wanted to convey a sense of humor, capture symbolic elements and not repeat things that were already familiar. So he put e.g. Right from the very first stamp of this series, it is not so appealing to show the absolutely successful copy of the "Beautiful Lantern" by Meister Schmirler (the original is in the Museum of the City of Vienna) and the Basilisk House. The road is much wider and the lighting effects did not exist. After many photos and several attempts then the selected representations in watercolor technique came as a template for this series of photogravure stamp series. Now to the picture of this 51 cents mark: In the left house is the inn "Zum Basilisken", which can be seen on a tinny, bulky flagship. The arch in the middle of the picture is not a driveway, but the glass of a currently vacant business premises. It still belongs to the Heiligenkreuzerhof, whose large driveway and chapel - not visible in the picture - is located on the left in the corner. In the right neighbor's house two narrow windows are visible. It is the studio of an artist who mainly paints flowers and landscapes and teaches in oil painting.
