After the shocking events of the Second World War, the longing for normality and security was a very strong human need. Therefore, the choice of the topic "happy childhood" as a leitmotif of a series of stamps in the year 1949 corresponded to a strong yearning of that time. The graphic artist Edith Ranzoni emerged victorious from the competition at that time for designing the brands with children's heads. She translated the subject very sensitively and creatively. She combined the children's portraits with important festive events for children. The present brand image shows a boy holding his Easter gift, a basket of eggs over which a rabbit is brooding. This connects the delicate face of the child with the symbolism of Easter, which accompanies the life of many adults as an indelible memory.
