The second stamp of the series shows the coat of arms of Austria, respectively the prince of Austria, as it appears around 1450 in the German coat of arms books. It was then called the coat of arms of "New Austria", in contrast to that of "Old Austria", which showed five golden eagle in (sky blue shield). The coat of arms also includes helmet and helmet ornament. So it is in the oldest general and planned German coat of arms book, the coat of arms of Zurich (1335-45) to see. On the shield rests the closed helmet, above it a crown with a peacock's thrust. The crown probably goes back to the plan of 1245 to raise Austria to the monarchy. But the peacock push was carried by the family of Lengbach-Rechberg, after their extinction, in 1235, coat of arms and Heerbann fell to the Duke (Frederick II).
