One of the star guests of the Life Ball 2006 is the well-known photo model Naomi Campbell. The dark-skinned beauty, who still occupies a special position even among the world's highest-paid models, decorates - in the truest sense of the word - the new special stamp. Naomi Campbell was born on May 22, 1970 in London. She graduated from the London Academy For Performing Arts. When she was fourteen, she began training at the prestigious "Italia Conti Academy of Theater Arts" acting school in London. Campbell made her first public appearance in February 1978 in a music video with renowned reggae singer Bob Marley. In 1985, she was finally discovered by an agent of the women's magazine "Elle" in London's Covent Garden. As a result, Naomi Campbell was signed by the model agency "Synchro Models" - and thus began one of the steepest careers of the international modeling industry. Over the years, she not only presented the collections of the most expensive fashion designers, she also posed for the biggest photographers - and there is hardly a magazine cover that has not yet brought a photo of this "dark muse". However, Naomi Campbell is not only successful as a model - as an actress, singer, author and not least as the creator of her own cosmetics line, she sets accents that attract great international attention. Like many other celebrities, Naomi Campbell supports the UNESCO organization, especially for her homeland Jamaica and builds in their name kindergartens and houses. It is something of a tradition in Vienna: The Life Ball - inseparable from the theme " AIDS and AIDS research ". As one of the largest charity events in the world, the Life Ball - in contrast to the traditional ball events in Vienna - is a shrill, opulent party with a lot of bare skin. As in previous years, the colorful social event will take place again this year in the historic rooms of the Vienna City Hall. Organizing the Life Ball, Gery Keszler, this annual event not only staged "a gigantic celebration of life that appeals to all the senses," he also provides substantial resources for AIDS research. With a net profit of more than one million euros, by the way 2005 was the most successful Life Ball since its existence. On the huge catwalk, which is built in the shape of the red Aids ribbon on Rathausplatz, top models from Germany and abroad will - as every year - present the creations and daring outfits of famous fashion designers "haut-nah". Numerous international stars and artists set a clear sign with their participation and promote humanity, tolerance and understanding. With the publication of the new special stamp, Österreichische Post AG is once again one of the promoters of the Life Ball, as in the previous two years.
