Psychologically-trained staff members are available for telephone counseling to help callers reduce their fears, worries and problems. Personally and unfiltered, the consultants learn on the phones what moves the girls and boys. This will allow the child and youth telephone to bring the most important issues of young people into the public debate and to stimulate concrete changes to improve the situation of children and young people. This unique offer for young people has been built up over the past 20 years by numerous, mostly volunteer citizens and is used millions of times nationwide. To draw attention to this telephone counseling offer to children and adolescents, twelve million information carriers in the form of bookmarks, business cards, timetables and posters have been distributed to the adolescents to date.
