FDJ Initiative Berlin In recognition of the "FDJ Initiative Berlin", the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the German Democratic Republic issues two multicolored special postage stamps. The 4,863 young construction workers provided construction work worth a total of 453.9 million marks in 284 youth brigades and 110 youth objects in 1978 as part of the "FDJ Initiative Berlin". As part of the "FDJ Initiative Berlin", Berlin-Marzahn has completed thousands of apartments and social facilities, the substation Biesdorf-Nord, the combined heat and power plant Klingenberg - Lichtenberg combined heat and power station.
