The joint draft for the European brands 1963 of the countries of the European conference of the administrations for post and telecommunications (CEPT) was selected by the involved postal administrations on 22 January 1963 in Bonn. The choice fell on a design by the Norwegian artist Professor Arne Holm, Trondheim. The motif used is the ornamental letter CEPT. The drafts underlying the selection will not be published following a decision by the participating countries.
