Just a decade ago, environmental protection was known only to a relatively small circle of the public. And the insistent reminders of the scientists were dismissed as unrealistic and exaggerated. Today, we are already in a situation where we realized how right those who pointed out to us years ago the serious threat to our environment through the careless action of mankind. Environmental protection is everyone's business today. From the public side, the Federal Ministry of Health and Environmental Protection was set up to increase efforts in environmental protection. It helps to protect our habitat and, where it is already endangered, to restore it in the best possible way. The tasks the ministry has to solve are very complex and range from social to economic aspects. In many cases, ways to develop new environmental protection measures can only be found through research. The brand image shows the hand of a knight's armor, placed protectively around a rose.
