From May 28 to June 1, 2003, the first Ecumenical Kirchentag for all of Germany will take place in Berlin. The motto is: "You should be a blessing." More than 100,000 permanent participants and several thousand day visitors from Germany and abroad are expected. The approximately 2,000 individual events include working groups and podium discussions with politicians, scientists and business representatives. The aim of the Ecumenical Kirchentag is to promote dialogue between people of different religions and convictions. Organizers are the »German Protestant Kirchentag« (DEKT) and the »Central Committee of German Catholics« (ZdK).
