Pictured is the Holstentor in Lübeck. It was the old city gate and has two towers. Lübeck is a port and former Hanseatic city on the lower Trave in northern Germany. Despite the devastation in the Second World War, the old town of Lübeck was preserved. Lübeck is the most important port on the Baltic Sea in Germany. Lübeck was founded in 1143.
