The motif shows the Frauentor, today also Ravensburger Tor, called city gate of Wangen im Allgäu. The building in Herrenstraße was first mentioned in 1472, but probably already exists since the city was founded. Until 1608, it had only a pitched roof, after which it was redesigned to its present appearance. Today the gate has a renaissance and corner turrets. It was last renovated in 1988. Catalog numbers 28 to 34 were published in November 1948 and March 1949 respectively. For the sake of systematics, the editors note the first day of each month as the first day of issue.
