Here is a winemaker against the backdrop of Maxburg shown. This castle near Neustadt was built by the Salians at the beginning of the 11th century and was actually called "Kästenburg" or "Hambacher Schloss". In 1100 it was incorporated into the Duchy of Speyer and used as a fortress for its bishops. In the 16th and 17th centuries, the castle was destroyed several times, including in the Palatinate War of Succession 1688/89. In 1842, the citizens donated the castle to the Bavarian Crown Prince Maximilian for his wedding (hence the name). It was also in the year 1832 a cornerstone of German democracy. Today, the Maxburg is partially restored and a popular destination. The catalog numbers 32 to 41 appeared in November and December 1948 and in January and July 1949. For the sake of systematics, the editorial board recorded the first day of each month as the first day of issue.
