The print shows the late Romanesque cathedral in Worms. It consists of a double-choir basilica with two octagonal towers over the western building and the east quadrangle. In addition, two more round towers are built above each of the two choirs, towering over the octagonal ones. The building was built over a former cathedral from the 11th century, of which parts are still visible. Construction began in the second half of the 12th century and was completed in 1220 with the last part, the Western choir. During the 13th to 15th centuries, additional Gothic chapels were built on the north and south side of the cathedral. In the years 1689 and 1813, the building was partially destroyed in wars, but always restored. Catalog numbers 1 to 4 and 6 to 15 were published in April, June, July, August, September and October 1947 and February 1948 respectively. For the sake of systematics, the editorial board records the first day of each month as the issue date.
