The motif shows a woman in traditional costume in the Black Forest. Particularly characteristic is the crown-like headdress, the so-called Schapel or Schäppel. He was only worn on important occasions, such as weddings or communion. (The catalog numbers 16, 17, 20, 21, 23, 25, 26 and 27 appeared in July and August 1848. For the sake of systematics, the editors recorded the date of issue 1 July 1948 and 1 August 1948).
