With the last stamp of the ten-part series designed by Professor Otto Stefferl for the "Stamp Day" 1991 - 2000, a thought-provoking impulse is to be given in an abstract way to reflect on "renewable energy". Not only the two intertwined letters allow this interpretation; Rather, the artist himself attaches particular importance to underlining it through the familiar symbolic character of the various colors. It is worthwhile for the attentive viewer to mentally get to the bottom of this value and to find the experience "Unleashed Energy = Crisis" symbolized in 1999 for the realization "Renewable Energy = Change". In his sense, the word world understood but not always clearly defined, even without looking into a physics book, can generally be defined as an "inherent force", a "stored workability" or simply a medium that releases forces and thus something can effect. Behind the message that wants to convey the stamp, there are neither one-sided ideologies nor economic interests. Otto Stefferl only wants to draw attention to those aspects of the energy supply that alone will ensure a truly humane and decent future. Of course, he will not be able to spare any of us the necessary rethinking.
