Since 1991, Austrian Post has been setting unusual accents with its "Stamp Day" issues. The combination of the two terms "postage stamp" and "philately" has since resulted in different pairs of letters. The 4th value of this series in 1994 presents the letters "E" and "L". The brand image designed by Prof. Otto Stefferl shows a patch of earth at the boundary between the original and the cultural state. Linking primeval symbolism with the expression of human creativity in the form of buildings that have become ruins in the course of the world time, show human transience in a timeless space.
