In the year 2000, Austrian Post decided to use a pair of letters from the terms "postage stamp" and "philately" on the "Stamp Day" stamps until the year 2000. If it was B and P in 1991, it was R and H in 1992. Thus, this motif shows a continuation of the multifaceted subject matter associated with these two terms. In 1992, the historical aspect of philately should be given special consideration. The beginning of the philately is to begin with the first appearance of the stamp in England, starting from 6 May 1840. The typical stamp collector may not have existed at that time, but already ten years later, when there were already 25 postal administrations worldwide that followed the British example of the stamp issue, the stamp scene revived quite rapidly. The heyday of brand collecting began in the sixties and seventies of the last century. This hobby has remained one of the most popular in the world today.
